Despite her TV star status, Sylvia was forced to stay behind a barricade as Harry and his wife Meghan Markle spent time on Bondi Beach.

"You are the salt of the earth, honest, hardworking and as tough as they come", he said.

During that time, they will take in all the sights of Australia, before heading to Fiji, Tonga and New Zealand, meeting with locals and carrying out engagements at the Invictus Games in Sydney.

During a reception at Melbourne's Government House, Meghan was startled when she played with a Formula 1 auto.

The newly-married prince told the crowd that part of being strong was having the courage to ask for help.

"You must not silently suffer and, if I may speak personally, we are all in this together, because asking for help was some of the best decisions I ever made". I was kind of overwhelmed with emotion [when I heard] and I just thought, I'm letting everything go.

"He offered to stay for two weeks so we could have some more of the rain". As she jumped and laughed in surprise, Harry started laughing at her reaction.

Meghan continues to display sartorial diplomacy on her royal tour, by wearing an outfit by an Australian fashion label for her day in Melbourne.

"I think there is still a lot of stigma around mental health and it's great that Harry and Meghan are addressing that here today", Ms Adams told AAP at the beach.

After the news was announced she said that she was disappointed her dad wasn't included in the statement. and now, she has given another interview saying everything she has been saying has been misunderstood. The pair have been keeping busy in the first three days of their tour, traveling to Sydney, Dubbo, and Melbourne, Australia.
