It's not hard to grasp from the tone of Nikhil Namit's statement that Priyanka's "sudden" decision may not have thrilled every member of the Bharat as it did director Ali Abbas Zafar, who shared the news with what appears to be a congratulatory message attached to it.

According to a report in BollywoodLife.com, Chopra's choice has irked Khan and the Sultan star has "vowed to never work with Priyanka again", according to a source revealed to the portal. As per Mid-Day reports, a source informed, "Priyanka had been in talks with the Bharat team over the past two weeks about how she may have to opt out for personal reasons".

The search for a leading lady for Bharat is in full swing and Katrina Kaif and Jacqueline Fernandes are tipped to be the strongest contenders for the role.

The fact that Priyanka Chopra made a decision to opt out of Salman Khan's Bharat appears to have come as suddenly to fans as the film's producer.

The same week Jonas asked Chopra to be his wife, the two had some private time with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex at their Oxfordshire, England, home. Zafar wished her the best for her future.

Another source was quoted as saying, "Today Priyanka Chopra's a huge worldwide star and to be part of a film like Bharat, which is looking like an ensemble cast, day by day would not work for her image".

People magazine, citing unnamed sources close to the pair, said Jonas, 25, proposed to Chopra in London for her 36th birthday, after shutting down a Tiffany store in NY to choose a ring.

Chopra, who is great friends with Markle, attended the royal wedding on May 19, around the time she and Jonas started dating.
