The Plus sees the ARM processor of old swapped out for an Intel CPU, and it gains a second camera.

The front camera has been upgraded to 1-megapixel while there's a 13-megapixel camera next to the keyboard as well which serves as the rear-facing shooter when the device is in tablet mode. The new device will be made available in the U.S. starting June 24 across Best Buy stores and Bestbuy.com at a starting price of $499.99. The Chromebook Plus (V2) is now powered by a lower-end Celeron processor, which should mean that the device will be faster than its predecessor.

The new Chromebook has a 12.2-inch screen with a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080, which is actually smaller than the 12.3-inch 2,400 x 1,600 resolution display found on the first Chromebook Plus. The Samsung Chromebook Plus V2 retains the signature hallmarks of its predecessors, including a stylus with its own silo on the device, a premium build quality, and a convertible form factor that makes it a great machine to run Android apps.

While it features a design similar to the previous Chromebook Plus, this new V2 model has some notable changes. Since this is the world of capturing pictures and communicating more via creative expressions, the Chromebook Plus V2 is packed with a rear camera.

Premium Design, Premium Experience - designed for comfort and peace of mind, with a curved-cap keyboard built to withstand spills up to 60cc.

In terms of connectivity, the laptop has two USB Type-C ports, one USB 3.0 port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
