Singer, 13, earns Howie Mandel's golden buzzer on America's Got Talent

This week her audition from America's Got Talent went on TV and the result was pretty incredible!

She didn't need it, though, as she launched into a performance, complete with dance moves, that showed off the most confident side to the teen, who had previously walked out showing off some series butterflies.

Courtney is 13 and goes to school in Peterlee, Country Durham.

The latest Golden Buzzer was given out tonight on America's Got Talent!

What happened in between was her transformation into a soulful singing dynamo that prompted judge Howie Mandel to compare her to Janis Joplin.

A British schoolgirl has left the America's Got Talent panel absolutely floored with her performance of Otis Redding's Hard to Handle.

Judge Howie Mandel goes on to liken her to Janis Joplin.

Fellow judge Howie Mandel was so impressed he hit the gold buzzer sending her through to the live shows.

America's Got Talent airs on Tuesday nights on NBC AT 8/7c.

She won the title of the Mail's Performer of the Year at the Best of Hartlepool Awards last year.

What can you say about Courtney Hadwin's performance? She was a finalist on "The Voice Kids U.K.", Billboard pointed out.

Since then, the young talent has continued to make a name for herself in the region, appearing on stage at the of Waterfront Festival held at Jackson's Wharf past year.

Before she was even done, the audience was on their feet.
