President Trump Rips ABC in Tweet About Roseanne Barr Fiasco

A reluctant John Goodman took a cautious route with a cameraman who asked him Wednesday about Roseanne Barr's racist tweets and the cancellation of ABC's Roseanne, in which he plays Dan Conner. Barr also re-tweeted several people defending her. "That's a fact. Donald Trump - Roseanne and I have both known him 30 years". "I'm exhausted of being attacked and belittled more than other comedians who have said worse".

Barr initially tried to backtrack from the comments saying they were a joke, but appears to have changed her tone.

Roseanne's Twitter statement is abhorrent, repugnant and inconsistent with our values, and we have chose to cancel her show.

"Bob Iger of ABC called Valerie Jarret to let her know that "ABC does not tolerate comments like those" made by Roseanne Barr".

While Barr is notorious for making controversial statements including those defending President Trump, her comment about Jarrett created a backlash that prompted ABC President Channing Dungey to speak out and call Barr's tweet "repugnant".

Later that day, Barr issued an apology of sorts on her Twitter to the hundreds of people on the Roseanne crew who have now lost their jobs, saying she was "ambien tweeting" and "went 2 far".

Roseanne Barr just got some epic Twitter shade from... one of the world's largest pharmaceutical companies.

ABC quickly and admirably did the right thing by canceling "Roseanne". Responding to a conspiracy thread about Jarrett, Barr wrote, "Muslim brotherhood & planet of the apes had a baby=vj".

Jarrett said on MSNBC Tuesday night that she had received a call from Iger prior to the announcement that "Roseanne" had been canceled.

"They do it because we have a white trash racist president", Arnold said. "And then if her insane tweets came out, she could point to that and say, "But I have taken a step back".

The president reveled in the show's success this spring, especially after Barr's character came out as a supporter of his policies. And I am going to tell you the truth, she wanted it to happen, if you saw how her tweets escalated this weekend. "I made a mistake I wish I hadn't.don't defend it please".
