Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah deserves to win the Professional Footballers" Association Player of the Year award this season for his "unprecedented' displays, according to club legend Jamie Carragher.

Salah moved to Liverpool from AS Roma last summer for a fee around €42m and has been in scintillating form this season, scoring 39 goals while assisting 11 in 44 games.

Yet Klopp told German publication Bild that he was "not worried" about Salah departing and he reemphasised that point in his press conference on Thursday.

"I knew it would be hard but I said we had to be positive and win".

It could be that there are more honours to come for Salah before the season is out, with his sights being set on another record.

Feared: Mo Salah's old Roma team-mates didn't want to draw Liverpool. "I on a regular basis say that we take it step-by-step nonetheless we're throughout the semifinal, all of the items can happen". It's that thing, will he leave or whatever? I think that's normal and it's not about me to judge that or whatever.

"I think they've had a good season after a hard transfer window for them a year ago, where they lost not only Mo [Salah] but Emerson [Palmieri] and a few key players for them".

"I don't think, I know he will be here". We had been very shut to at least one one other and we're good associates. "We have a chance to create something here for the future".

"If we can put in performances like we did over these two legs (against City) then hopefully that's enough". The Serie A star - despite his young age and inexperience in playing European football - has made seven appearances for the Turkish national team. "We went to Old Trafford earlier in the season and in the second half we battered them, but lost 1-0 which wasn't nice. My impression is they are all excited about being in this group".

Real Madrid, the 12-times victor, remains favorite for the competition, though its opponent, Bayern Munich, will be confident of springing a surprise after the Spanish giant only just scraped through to the last four.

"They've all talked about: 'We don't have to play in opposition to Liverpool, '" Salah suggested CNN Worldwide in an distinctive interview. But it's not that true any more.
