Leeds owner Andrea Radrizzani has moved to clarify comments he made in the wake of his side's 3-0 defeat to Championship high-flyers Wolves.

However Wolves are believed to be "entirely comfortable" that they are working within all rules and regulations set out by the league.

Taking to Twitter, Radrizzani suggested the Championship isn't fair, and Wolves" situation "not legal', making it sound very much like sour grapes.

It is safe to say that the masses of Leeds United fans are rightly aghast at the playground mentality of Andrea Radrizzani with his "toys out of the pram" tweets.

It is understood those concerns, and others raised separately earlier in the week, are being looked at by the EFL.

The Italian was annoyed by the links between the leaders' Chinese ownership group, Fosun, and the superagent Jorge Mendes, who has helped to assemble the dominant squad.

"It should be noted that the club was explicitly informed in July 2016 of all the requirements it was expected to meet as part of the change of control, and appropriate arrangements were put in place to ensure compliance".

"Firstly I would like to be clear that I have great respect for Nuno Santo and his team who have performed extremely well throughout the course of this season".

"We will probably scan him and see what fluid is in there and how bad the bleeding is but at the minute he is struggling as it stands". The results were attributed "largely to increased expenditure on players, player wages, restructuring of the football staff and continued investment in the training facilities at Compton", a statement on the Wolves website read.
