Chicopee to hold Christmas tree lighting, visit from Santa

The event will be at the Bay County Government Center.

The annual ABATE Toy Parade is 2-2:30 p.m. along Gillette Avenue from Seventh to First streets.

If you missed the recent Winterfest parade, or you just want to see Santa Claus again, the 49th Annual Windsor Santa Claus Parade is this weekend. Streets will be closed between 3:45 and 8 p.m. Patrons of Munich Haus and Center Street business will be able to access Center Street and the Ferris Lot by telling police officers at the gates where they are going. Blankets and lawn chairs are welcome and be sure to bundle up; evening temps are expected to be in the low 30s.

The parade theme is "Wild, Wild, West Christmas". There will be no parking along the parade route and on some adjacent side streets beginning at 2 p.m. on the day of the parade.

Salem: Friday, 6:30 p.m.

The parade is sponsored by The City of Fredericksburg Virginia Parks and Recreation Department and Huber Motor Cars, and media sponsor B101.5. The public is invited to attend and encouraged to bring cameras for photos with Santa. - Returning for its second year, the parade will start at Knights of Columbus off Brambleton Avenue.
