Trump wants to compare his IQ with Tillerson's

President Trump, after seemingly patching things up with Secretary of State Rex Tillerson following a report that he once called the president a "moron" and considered quitting, has challenged the top diplomat to "compare IQ tests" if he indeed said that.

Trump told Forbes in his interview that he did not believe Tillerson had called him a "moron", which NBC News reported he had, but that if he did, "we'll have to compare IQ tests".

The original story that alleged Tillerson called Trump a moron was published by NBC News October 4.

Trump also told Lane that he didn't see a need to appoint the hundreds of State Department positions that are now unfilled.

Colbert moved on from Corker's Twitter burn, unable to add much to it, and touched on Corker's other Trump slams before moving on to Trump's grievances about not getting credit for saving Puerto Rico, including a memorable line he dropped on Mike Huckabee's new show.

"I hope and pray that Secretary Mattis and Secretary of State Tillerson and General Kelly stay put", McCaskill said.

"The White House has become an adult day care center", Senator Bob Corker declared at the weekend, in an astonishing public rebuke from a Republican who campaigned for Trump and chairs the Senate foreign relations committee. "I'm not undermining. I think I'm actually strengthening authority".

We still have more than three years with President Trump at the helm, and sadly the question is no longer whether or not our commander-in-chief is a moron; it's how much damage will he do before he's out of office. Tillerson and @VP Pence. "They should issue an apology to AMERICA!"

Just to make it clear that he's smarter than his secretary of state, Trump suggested taking a test to prove it. Trump claimed in one of his tweets.

Meanwhile, another national magazine overnight reported deepening rifts within the White House administration.

"As the secretary of state said, this is a pretty ridiculous accusation and, frankly, I think it's beneath the secretary of state to weigh in on every rumor out there", Huckabee Sanders said. "Totally undercut, completely ineffective as secretary of state".
