Nintendo plans to not only increase the inventory of the Super NES Classic Edition when it hits shelves on September 29, but to also ship them through the new year, the company announced Tuesday morning.

Despite the release of the Nintendo SNES Classic Edition looming closer, Nintendo has made a decision to bring its predecessor back for one more limited run.

"I would strongly urge you not to over-bid on an SNES Classic on any of the auction sites. You shouldn't [have to] pay more than $79.99", Fils-Aime said. At a small age, Nintendo was their first gadget they could get hands on and gave them access to the gaming world. He believes that people do not deserve to pay more than $79.99 Dollars for the game system.

The NES Classic Edition console came with a retro controller, 8-bit graphics and features 30 pre-installed classic games such as the original Super Mario Bros., the Legend of Zelda and Donkey Kong. Like the NES mini, the SNES Classic instantly sold out when pre-orders launched. It's also confirmed that the Nintendo Classic Mini: NES Edition will be making its return to shops in the United Kingdom next summer. After all, the NES Classic was surprisingly discontinued despite its huge success, so one can only hope the SNES Classic Edition doesn't meet the same fate.

Although Nintendo didn't get into specifics, it stated that brand new shipments of the NES Classic Edition will arrive during the summer of next year. On launch day, there will be more SNES Classic consoles available than NES Classic consoles shipped during 2016.

Nintendo also announced that they will be extending production of the SNES Mini into 2018 too.
